General
What is Medifi?
The Medifi app is a telehealth platform that lets you consult a doctor online conveniently and securely. Whether you’re at home, in the office, or on vacation, you can quickly get in touch with a licensed doctor for any health concern.
What can I do with the app?
You can seek advice from our licensed doctors through Consult Now service or leave a message to doctors of your choice and wait for their response through the Ask a Specialist feature. You can also ask a doctor for an e-Prescription and a medical certificate.
What is Consult Now?
Consult Now is a feature of Medifi that connects you immediately to any licensed doctor who is available for consultation. It enables you to seek medical advice from any licensed doctor who is available at the time. You cannot choose a specific doctor for this service and the consultation fee is fixed at Php 699.
What is Ask a Specialist?
Ask a Specialist is a feature for patients who are not in a hurry to see a doctor. This feature is made for patients who are already familiar with a specific doctor or looking for a specific medical specialty for their health concern. The consultation fee for this service varies, depending on the doctor’s declared professional fee.
How much is the consultation rate of a doctor?
The fee for Consult Now is fixed at PHP 699.
The fee for Ask a Specialist varies. This will depend on the professional fee set by the doctor. You can see the actual fee on the doctor's profile.How do I consult a doctor?

Where can I see my ongoing consultation with a doctor?
To check your ongoing consultation:
Open the consultation inbox located at the bottom navigation menu.Can I consult with my personal doctor on Medifi?
You can consult your personal doctor if s/he has a Medifi account. Just search for your doctor's name in the directory tab and ask a specialist by leaving them a message.
How do I invite my personal doctor?
You can invite your doctor by asking them to register at medifi.com
Can my dependents use my Medifi account to consult a doctor?
Yes, your dependents may use your account to consult a doctor.
How can I change my email address?
Please contact us here or send a message at talk[at]medifi.com so we can assist you on how to proceed.
How do I get in touch if I need technical assistance?
Please contact us here or send a message at talk[at]medifi.com for technical support.
Do you provide medical certificates?
Yes we do. You may request your doctor to provide you with a medical certificate during your consultation.
Do you provide e-Prescriptions?
Yes we do. You may request your doctor to provide you with an e-Prescription during your consultation.
Where can I see the medical certificate that I requested from my doctor?
To view and download your medical certificate:
- In the bottom menu, open History
- Open the past consultation you wish to view.
- Download your medical certificate.
Where can I see my e-Prescription that I requested from my doctor?
To view and download your medical certificate:
- In the bottom menu, open History
- Open the past consultation you wish to view.
- Download your e-prescription.
*Note: Some pharmacies may require you to provide a printed e-Prescription for them to issue you the prescribed medication from your doctor.Can I send documents or photos to my doctor?
Yes, you can attach documents or photos during your consultation with your doctor by tapping the + button.
Are you accredited by an HMO?
Currently, we are not affiliated with any HMOs.
Will my consultation start if I leave a message to a doctor?
Not yet. The consultation will start once the doctor replies to your message.
Will I see the doctor's rate first before making a consultation?
Yes. The doctor’s consultation fee is viewable on their profile.
How do I know if a doctor is online?
We are still working on that feature. At the moment, you will only be able to know if a doctor is available when he/she replies to your message.
What can I do during a consultation?
You can chat, call, or do a video call with your doctor. You may also request for e-Prescriptions and medical certificates.
Do you offer corporate membership rates?
No we don't, but do reach out us here or send a message at talk[at]medifi.com and we could discuss possible solutions to your needs.
I'm in an emergency/ life-threatening situation. Can I use Medifi?
If you are in an emergency or life-threatening medical situation, please proceed to the nearest Emergency Room. Medifi only caters to non-emergency health concerns.
Is this a replacement for physical or face-to-face consultation?
Medifi will never be a replacement for face-to-face medical consultation. Our platform's main purpose is to provide a convenient and accessible healthcare assistance for non-emergency cases by connecting patients and doctors in a secure platform. A visit to your doctor is still a must.
Payment
What payment methods are accepted?
Consultations can be settled via any Mastercard and VISA credit/debit cards. At the moment, over-the-counter (OTC) payments are not available.
Please note that due to consistent complaints from our users regarding failed authorizations for credit or debit cards issued by Banco de Oro (BDO), GCash, and Paymaya, we strongly discourage our users from using these cards as payment methods. Instead , please use VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, or Discover cards from other card issuers.
When do I get charged?
For both Consult Now and Find a Doctor (Direct Consultation), an authorization pre-charge is applied to the patient's selected payment method, which only goes through upon completion of a consultation by the physician.
This pre-charge will automatically be reversed if the request is cancelled or expires.
When will I get charge when I use Ask a Specialist?
You will be billed once your doctor accepts and replies to your consultation request message.
Will I get billed immediately when I message a doctor?
You will not be charged if you leave a message to your doctor. You will only get charged once the doctor accepts and replies to your consultation request message.
Account
Why do I need to provide my personal details?
Providing your details will allow your doctor to know more about you. You can read our Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice here.
How can I deactivate my account?
To deactivate your account:
- In the bottom right of the app, go to Settings
- In the General Settings, open About
- Click Deactivate Account
How can I change my password?
To change your password:
- In the bottom right of the app, go to Settings
- In Account Settings, click Change Password
- Change your password
How will I get notified if my doctor responds to my message?
You will receive a push notification on your phone once a doctor replies to your message. Make sure that your notifications are turned on.
To receive alerts and reminders:
- In the bottom right of the app, go to Settings
- In Account Settings, open Notifications
- Turn on push notification button
Technical
I just signed in and the app crashed. What do I do?
Please contact us here or send a message at talk[at]medifi.com so we can assist you on how to proceed.
I got disconnected with my doctor while our consultation is still ongoing, what should I do?
Check your network connection. Fix your internet connection and re-open the Medifi app, you will be reconnected with your ongoing consultation with your doctor. If your consultation was prematurely ended, please contact us at talk[at]medifi.com.
